Important: Ledger will never ask you to share your 24-word recovery phrase. Anyone asking for it is trying to take control of your assets.

02 / PROTECT YOUR ACCESS
Your 24-word recovery phrase is the master backup for your wallet. Keep it offline and private. It is not required to log in to Ledger Live or to receive help from support.
Explore Ledger AcademyNo legitimate login, support agent, or app update needs your 24 words.
Unexpected emails, DMs, and pop-ups may impersonate Ledger. Don’t follow their links.
Read the address and transaction details on your Ledger screen before you approve.
Use Ledger Live or Ledger’s official website to find app and device guidance.
03 / ACCOUNT ACCESS
Ledger Live is an interface for your accounts. Your private keys remain secured by your Ledger device, and sensitive actions require your approval.
An optional Ledger Live app password can help protect local access to the app. Your Ledger device PIN unlocks the device. Neither one should be confused with or replaced by sharing your recovery phrase.
Ledger Live reads account information from the relevant blockchain service. If a balance looks out of date, check your connection, app version, and account synchronization before taking action.
Before approving, check the recipient, network, and amount on your device display. A connected app cannot make a transaction safe if the details are not what you intended.
04 / QUICK ANSWERS
Helpful answers for common Ledger Live sign-in and account-access questions.
Open the Ledger Live app you downloaded from Ledger’s official website, or use Ledger Live in your browser at ledger.com/ledger-live. Check the address carefully before connecting your device. Ledger Live access is managed through the app and your Ledger device—not through a website that asks you to type in your recovery phrase.
Your Ledger device is used to approve access and transactions. Depending on your app setup, Ledger Live may offer an optional app password to protect local access on that computer or phone. That password is not your 24-word recovery phrase, and Ledger Support will never need your recovery phrase.
Use the password recovery or reset steps shown in the official Ledger Live app. Resetting local app access may require you to set the app up again and reconnect your Ledger device. Never enter your recovery phrase into a website, chat, email, or computer prompt to regain access.
Update Ledger Live from ledger.com, unlock your device with its PIN, try a known data-capable cable or another USB port, and close other wallet applications. Keep your device firmware and apps current using the official app, and follow the on-screen instructions without sharing your recovery phrase.
